Author · Educator · Storyteller

With 34 years as an early childhood teacher, Debbie DeSimone has spent her career nurturing curiosity, compassion, and a love of learning in young children. Her experiences have shaped the way she understands belonging, individuality, and the importance of seeing the world from a child's perspective.

Growing up with an older brother who is deaf taught Debbie sign language and showed her the many ways we can communicate and connect. Her own experience with vitiligo has also shaped her perspective on individuality and embracing what makes each of us unique.

Through her writing, Debbie hopes to encourage children to celebrate differences, embrace who they are, and discover the extraordinary in everyday life.
